Professor Emeritus Eileen Wirth will discuss her newest book, The Women Who Built Omaha, which profiles the athletes, suffragists, madams, and bootleggers who transformed the city’s parks, co-founded Creighton University, helped run Boys Town, and so much more. Humanities Nebraska (HN) provides major funding for this program. HN receives support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Nebraska State Legislature, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and private donations.
